يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
O!
ٱلنَّبِىُّ
Prophet!
إِذَا
When
طَلَّقْتُمُ
you divorce
ٱلنِّسَآءَ
[the] women
فَطَلِّقُوهُنَّ
then divorce them
لِعِدَّتِهِنَّ
for their waiting period
وَأَحْصُوا۟
and keep count
ٱلْعِدَّةَ
(of) the waiting period
وَٱتَّقُوا۟
and fear
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
رَبَّكُمْ
your Lord
لَا
(Do) not
تُخْرِجُوهُنَّ
expel them
مِنۢ
from
بُيُوتِهِنَّ
their houses
وَلَا
and not
يَخْرُجْنَ
they should leave
إِلَّآ
except
أَن
that
يَأْتِينَ
they commit
بِفَٰحِشَةٍ
an immorality
مُّبَيِّنَةٍ
clear
وَتِلْكَ
And these
حُدُودُ
(are the) limits
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
وَمَن
And whoever
يَتَعَدَّ
transgresses
حُدُودَ
(the) limits
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
فَقَدْ
then certainly
ظَلَمَ
he has wronged
نَفْسَهُۥ
himself
لَا
Not
تَدْرِى
you know
لَعَلَّ
Perhaps
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
يُحْدِثُ
will bring about
بَعْدَ
after
ذَٰلِكَ
that
أَمْرًا
a matter
(2)
فَإِذَا
Then when
بَلَغْنَ
they have reached
أَجَلَهُنَّ
their term
فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ
then retain them
بِمَعْرُوفٍ
with kindness
أَوْ
or
فَارِقُوهُنَّ
part with them
بِمَعْرُوفٍ
with kindness
وَأَشْهِدُوا۟
And take witness
ذَوَىْ
two men
عَدْلٍ
just
مِّنكُمْ
among you
وَأَقِيمُوا۟
and establish
ٱلشَّهَٰدَةَ
the testimony
لِلَّهِ
for Allah
ذَٰلِكُمْ
That
يُوعَظُ
is instructed
بِهِۦ
with it
مَن
whoever
كَانَ
[is]
يُؤْمِنُ
believes
بِٱللَّهِ
in Allah
وَٱلْيَوْمِ
and the Day
ٱلْءَاخِرِ
the Last
وَمَن
And whoever
يَتَّقِ
fears
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
يَجْعَل
He will make
لَّهُۥ
for him
مَخْرَجًا
a way out
(3)
وَيَرْزُقْهُ
And He will provide for him
مِنْ
from
حَيْثُ
where
لَا
not
يَحْتَسِبُ
he thinks
وَمَن
And whoever
يَتَوَكَّلْ
puts his trust
عَلَى
upon
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
فَهُوَ
then He
حَسْبُهُۥٓ
(is) sufficient for him
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
بَٰلِغُ
(will) accomplish
أَمْرِهِۦ
His purpose
قَدْ
Indeed
جَعَلَ
has set
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
لِكُلِّ
for every
شَىْءٍ
thing
قَدْرًا
a measure
(4)
وَٱلَّٰٓـِٔى
And those who
يَئِسْنَ
have despaired
مِنَ
of
ٱلْمَحِيضِ
the menstruation
مِن
among
نِّسَآئِكُمْ
your women
إِنِ
if
ٱرْتَبْتُمْ
you doubt
فَعِدَّتُهُنَّ
then their waiting period
ثَلَٰثَةُ
(is) three
أَشْهُرٍ
months
وَٱلَّٰٓـِٔى
and the ones who
لَمْ
not
يَحِضْنَ
[they] menstruated
وَأُو۟لَٰتُ
And those who (are)
ٱلْأَحْمَالِ
pregnant
أَجَلُهُنَّ
their term (is)
أَن
until
يَضَعْنَ
they deliver
حَمْلَهُنَّ
their burdens
وَمَن
And whoever
يَتَّقِ
fears
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
يَجْعَل
He will make
لَّهُۥ
for him
مِنْ
of
أَمْرِهِۦ
his affair
يُسْرًا
ease
(5)
ذَٰلِكَ
That
أَمْرُ
(is the) Command
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
أَنزَلَهُۥٓ
which He has sent down
إِلَيْكُمْ
to you
وَمَن
and whoever
يَتَّقِ
fears
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
يُكَفِّرْ
He will remove
عَنْهُ
from him
سَيِّـَٔاتِهِۦ
his misdeeds
وَيُعْظِمْ
and make great
لَهُۥٓ
for him
أَجْرًا
(his) reward
(6)
أَسْكِنُوهُنَّ
Lodge them
مِنْ
from
حَيْثُ
where
سَكَنتُم
you dwell
مِّن
(out) of
وُجْدِكُمْ
your means
وَلَا
and (do) not
تُضَآرُّوهُنَّ
harm them
لِتُضَيِّقُوا۟
to distress
عَلَيْهِنَّ
[on] them
وَإِن
And if
كُنَّ
they are
أُو۟لَٰتِ
those (who are)
حَمْلٍ
pregnant
فَأَنفِقُوا۟
then spend
عَلَيْهِنَّ
on them
حَتَّىٰ
until
يَضَعْنَ
they deliver
حَمْلَهُنَّ
their burden
فَإِنْ
Then if
أَرْضَعْنَ
they suckle
لَكُمْ
for you
فَـَٔاتُوهُنَّ
then give them
أُجُورَهُنَّ
their payment
وَأْتَمِرُوا۟
and consult
بَيْنَكُم
among yourselves
بِمَعْرُوفٍ
with kindness
وَإِن
but if
تَعَاسَرْتُمْ
you disagree
فَسَتُرْضِعُ
then may suckle
لَهُۥٓ
for him
أُخْرَىٰ
another (women)
(7)
لِيُنفِقْ
Let spend
ذُو
owner
سَعَةٍ
(of) ample means
مِّن
from
سَعَتِهِۦ
his ample means
وَمَن
and (he) who
قُدِرَ
is restricted
عَلَيْهِ
on him
رِزْقُهُۥ
his provision
فَلْيُنفِقْ
let him spend
مِمَّآ
from what
ءَاتَىٰهُ
he has been given
ٱللَّهُ
(by) Allah
لَا
Does not
يُكَلِّفُ
burden
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
نَفْسًا
any soul
إِلَّا
except
مَآ
(with) what
ءَاتَىٰهَا
He has given it
سَيَجْعَلُ
Will bring about
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
بَعْدَ
after
عُسْرٍ
hardship
يُسْرًا
ease
(8)
وَكَأَيِّن
And how many
مِّن
of
قَرْيَةٍ
a town
عَتَتْ
rebelled
عَنْ
against
أَمْرِ
(the) Command
رَبِّهَا
(of) its Lord
وَرُسُلِهِۦ
and His Messengers
فَحَاسَبْنَٰهَا
so We took it to account
حِسَابًا
an account
شَدِيدًا
severe;
وَعَذَّبْنَٰهَا
and We punished it
عَذَابًا
a punishment
نُّكْرًا
terrible
(9)
فَذَاقَتْ
So it tasted
وَبَالَ
(the) bad consequence
أَمْرِهَا
(of) its affair
وَكَانَ
and was
عَٰقِبَةُ
(the) end
أَمْرِهَا
(of) its affair
خُسْرًا
loss
(10)
أَعَدَّ
Has prepared
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
لَهُمْ
for them
عَذَابًا
a punishment
شَدِيدًا
severe
فَٱتَّقُوا۟
So fear
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
يَٰٓأُو۟لِى
O men
ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ
(of) understanding
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
ءَامَنُوا۟
have believed!
قَدْ
Indeed
أَنزَلَ
Has sent down
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
إِلَيْكُمْ
to you
ذِكْرًا
a Message
(11)
رَّسُولًا
A Messenger
يَتْلُوا۟
reciting
عَلَيْكُمْ
to you
ءَايَٰتِ
(the) Verses
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
مُبَيِّنَٰتٍ
clear
لِّيُخْرِجَ
that he may bring out
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
ءَامَنُوا۟
believe
وَعَمِلُوا۟
and do
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
righteous deeds
مِنَ
from
ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ
the darkness[es]
إِلَى
towards
ٱلنُّورِ
the light
وَمَن
And whoever
يُؤْمِنۢ
believes
بِٱللَّهِ
in Allah
وَيَعْمَلْ
and does
صَٰلِحًا
righteousness
يُدْخِلْهُ
He will admit him
جَنَّٰتٍ
(into) Gardens
تَجْرِى
flow
مِن
from
تَحْتِهَا
underneath it
ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ
the rivers
خَٰلِدِينَ
abiding
فِيهَآ
therein
أَبَدًا
forever
قَدْ
Indeed
أَحْسَنَ
Has been (granted) good
ٱللَّهُ
(by) Allah
لَهُۥ
for him
رِزْقًا
provision
(12)
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
ٱلَّذِى
(is) He Who
خَلَقَ
created
سَبْعَ
seven
سَمَٰوَٰتٍ
heavens
وَمِنَ
and of
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the earth
مِثْلَهُنَّ
(the) like of them
يَتَنَزَّلُ
Descends
ٱلْأَمْرُ
the command
بَيْنَهُنَّ
between them
لِتَعْلَمُوٓا۟
that you may know
أَنَّ
that
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
عَلَىٰ
(is) on
كُلِّ
every
شَىْءٍ
thing
قَدِيرٌ
All-Powerful
وَأَنَّ
And that
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
قَدْ
indeed
أَحَاطَ
encompasses
بِكُلِّ
all
شَىْءٍ
things
عِلْمًۢا
(in) knowledge
